Singer-songwriter Jung Ji Hoon, better known by his stage name Rain, and actress Kim Tae Hee have left for a vacation trip to Jeju Island with family and friends. The longtime couple left on May 15, Sunday, and plans to spend two nights and three days on the said island.
On May 16, Monday, a representative from R.A.I.N's Company told Yonhap News Agency, as cited by Soompi, that the actor recently wrapped up shooting a TV drama. He went to Jeju Island for a rest and to play golf with his father and one of Kim's family members.
"After the trip, Rain is scheduled to leave the country to perform in Malaysia on May 19," the representative added. "Therefore, they decided to take the time to take a break and vacation."
The couple is said to be staying at a friend's place while on the island. Locals have reportedly witnessed the couple spending quality time with each other in quiet spots rather than going to crowded tourist sites.
Soon after the news circulated on the web, avid fans cannot help but wonder whether there have been already talks of marriage. However, Rain's representative was quick to clarify that the couple has no plan to marry.
Rain and Kim started dating in 2012 and officially confirmed their budding romance on Jan. 2, 2013. Since then, the couple has become a frequent target of unending marriage rumors, prompting the actor to say that he will tell his fans directly about any marriage news later on.
"Marriage is a once in a lifetime event. It's a huge event for the couple involved and I believe that it's right for me to tell my fans directly when that happens," Rain said in a statement posted on his official Instagram account on Nov. 21, 2015.
