Xia aka Kim Junsu or simply Junsu of JYJ South Korean pop trio is set to a "Rock the World" solo tour in eight cities of Asia starting this weekend. Also known by his stage name Xia Junsu of the former TVXQ boy band of SM Entertainment, Junsu will perform 15 concerts in Thailand, China, Japan and South Korea, according to his agency, C-JeS Entertainment on June 9, Thursday.
The 29-year-old-singer released his fourth solo album "Xignature" on May 30, the songs from which he will perform during his solo tour, along with other hit songs from his previous albums. The upcoming Asia tour is his fifth.
Xia will kick off the tour on June 11, Saturday, in Olympic Stadium, southeastern Seoul. Then he will proceed in Japanese cities Nagoya, Yokohama and Kobe, as well as the Chinese cities of Hong Kong, Shanghai and Guangzhou. He will then perform in Thailand.
The original plan was seven concerts in Japan but there were strong requests from Xia's Japanese fans so they added two more, Yonhap reported. The JYJ member has been practicing non-stop to bring a legendary stage performance to his Asian fans.
The singer is open for other people's opinion and love to be versatile and dynamic in his "Rock the World" concert. He has no space for poor performance. With lots of anticipation, he wants people to loudly shout with joy.
Xia shows his determination and passion to give high-quality music in "Xignature," which has 13 tracks that feature powerful ballads to fast beat dance music that showcase his musical range and skills. "Rock the World" is the first track of the album, a hip-hop dance song that shows the stage's vibrant energy, featuring Automatic and rapper The Quiett.
"Sweet Melody" follows as the second track. Written by Xia himself, it features the sweet vocals of singer Ben and describes the feelings of a person in love - shy and nervous but wants to confess and give everything to his or her loved one.
When asked what his favorite among the songs is in his latest album, though Xia loves each of all the songs, he picked the first two songs. In the second track, he loves how his voice balances with Ben's and how the lovely melody matches summertime, he told Soompi in a short interview before he embarks in his Asian tour concert.
