"Descendants of the Sun" stars Song Joong Ki, 30, and Song Hye Kyo, 34, were spotted getting dinner together along with their group of friends in Seoul, South Korea on June 4. Just one day after the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards, the so-called Song-Song couple was photographed having dinner together with a group of friends, including "Six Flying Dragons" actor Yoo Ah In.
The exciting news came to light when a series of still photographs taken by Korea's Dispatch, showcasing the Song-Song couple and their friends strolling out in a street, have gone viral on Twitter throughout the weekend.
In the photos, Hye Kyo rocked a checkered polo paired with denim shorts and a black cap to keep a low profile. Joong Ki, on the other hand, dressed a little more casual than ever, as he donned a white sweater combined with a dull-some pair of denim shorts. He also sported a black cap and a pair of white sandals.
However, it seems like Joong Ki and Hye Kyo's recent sighting is making the dating rumors circulate once again. It can be called that the on-screen couple was rumored dating a couple of months ago after the fans spotted Joong Ki and Hye Kyo reportedly wearing matching bracelets.
Adding fuel to the non-ending dating rumors is when the two were spotted having dinner together in a restaurant in New York City earlier in April. Hye Kyo's representative expeditiously denied the dating rumors for the second time around, saying they are just good friends and stressed that the stars grabbed dinner together, but they were joined by others.
"Isn't it funny that we couldn't eat together because of scandal worries despite Song Joong Ki going all the way there, and when we are friends who have worked on a project together for six months?" Soompi quoted Hye Kyo as saying to a group of local reporters during the drama's press conference on April 20.
Further, Joong Ki had previously commented on the dating rumors swirling him and co-star Hye Kyo in the midst of his previous guest appearance on KBS 1TV's News 9 on March 30. He gushed on that the dating rumors are a form of the public's response to the TV drama, while stating the possibility that it started since there is a lot of love for the show.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Hye Kyo will be joining Joong Ki in his much-awaited fan meeting event in Chengdu, the capital of China's Sichuan, on June 17. The on-screen couple is poised to perform the drama's OST, "You Are My Everything," originally performed by Gummy, K-pop Herald reported.
