The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt Red has revealed that they have information regarding the upcoming Nintendo NX and they believe that it will be "fantastic" and "spectacular."
After Nintendo's own executive announced that they do not care about the specs with regards to their upcoming competition with Sony's PlayStation NEO and Microsoft's Xbox Scorpio, fans and critics became worried that the company might go down on the same mistaken path once again. CD Projekt Red believes that the Nintendo NX will knock people's socks off based on what they now know because of their access to the hardware as a developer.
Earlier reports have claimed that the new console from Nintendo will have more or about just the same horsepower of the upcoming upgraded consoles from the competitors. However, the company seems reluctant in agreeing with the speculations.
CD Projekt Red Studio Communications Manager Fabian Mario Döehla told Rocket Beans TV in an interview that the Nintendo NX will be "spectacular," VG247 has learned. They also added that they "know things" about the console but they would not spill the beans on what they actually know about the hardware aspect of the NX.
Fabian also said that everyone at the development studio is looking forward to what they will be doing with Nintendo's upcoming console. Of course, they did not disclose what games they will be making.
One caveat is that the console could really fall behind the other two upgraded devices from Sony and Microsoft. Fabian said that it is unrealistic to expect that the Nintendo NX would beat the Xbox Scorpio in terms of the specs, Nintendo Insider reported.
Both Microsoft and Sony have recently admitted to the existence of the PlayStation NEO and the Xbox Scorpio. However, they have not revealed them to the public yet just like Nintendo.
CD Projekt RED has also refused to answer when the host of the interview asked whether the Nintendo NX will be a home console or a handheld. Instead, he answered that it will just be spectacular. The Nintendo NX is expected to be rolled out in March 2017 with the unveiling expected later this year.
