Out of the many video game releases revealed at the this year's E3, the public's eyes were eagerly gripped on Nintendo's adventure-crammed video game title, "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," for many reasons, as it is seen as the company's most ambitious and epic series Link would divulge into. Although, the game took longer enough to be developed in order to coincide with Nintendo NX's system.
According to IGN, Nintendo delayed the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" until March 2017, in order to launch side-by-side with the company's NX, the code name for Nintendo's upcoming platform. Through the recent E3 convention, the official release and the franchise's impact on the NX software were verified by "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" executive producer Shigeru Miyamoto and series producer Eiji Aonuma.
"It's complicated because as we're developing this -- obviously development of NX started a while ago -- and unfortunately, I'm sorry, but the development of this game took a lot longer than expected," Miyamoto told in an interview with IGN.
"We really felt like we would be able to get it done last year, but there was a lot of struggle with using the physics engine, so that's why it took a long time," Miyamoto continued.
Although the extra development time made fans more substantially waiting, it did not, however, made them indifferent, seeing that the video game's recent updates on its gameplay and high-technology graphics will be an un-worldly leap from its predecessors.
Through Nintendo's full-experience of playable games during E3, players have tasted a 35-minute demo on the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's" expertly crafted gameplay that made an outstanding impression on how the new series descended into an apocalyptic-realm and reimagined with more diverse survival methods.
According to Digital Trends, "Breath of the Wild's" open-ended nature is its most immediately striking feature. The first gameplay session showcased the opening moments of the game, where Link wakes up from an ancient bed relic and is pushed into the monster-filled world with no specific commands other than to be the hero that Hyrule region needs.
Adding to vast world that welcomed Link and its unexpected adventures, "there is a greater degree of physicality than in previous Zelda titles," the same publication reported.
Link's new-found abilities to jump and climb cliffs, which were apparently considered barriers on the previous series, put the players into a greater challenge of approaching the environment; plus the other survival activities such as hunting food and crafting weapons.
In terms of the fresh new world and strategically-innate gameplay, "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" really give a run for the players' money while putting this game above its other franchises.
