Iggy Azalea, 26, confirmed reports that she and Los Angeles Lakers basketball player, Nick Young, have called it quits after two and a half years together. Reports claimed that the couple's relationship has been on the rocks since March after the Lakers basketball guard was reportedly caught cheating on Azalea in a leaked video.
The Australian rapper-songwriter addressed her separation from her boyfriend of nearly three years on her official Instagram account on June 19, Sunday. In the post, Azalea admitted that she and Young had been experiencing problems in their relationship in the past months.

"Unfortunately, although I love Nick and have tried and tried to rebuild my trust in him - It's become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to," the "Fancy" rapper wrote. "I genuinely wish Nick the best. It's never easy to part ways with the person you planned your [sic] entire future with." Young, on the other hand, posted a more succinct statement on Twitter, around the same time as hers. It can be recalled that the estranged couple announced their engagement on June 2015, wherein Azalea and Young resided together in Tarzana, California.

However, Azalea and Young's relationship publicly hit the rocks in March, after the latter got involved in a cheating scandal. It can be recalled that a video about Young allegedly admitting to cheating on his bride-to-be surfaced on the web. It was then learned that the video was secretly taped by one of his Lakers teammate, D'Angelo Russell, The Star reported.
The cheating scandal arrived just two weeks after Azalea announced that she and Young have decided to postpone their wedding to a later date. At the time, Azalea said that their respective busy schedules had constrained them to push the wedding off until the end of the NBA season.
Meanwhile, an unnamed source close to the athlete revealed to E! News that the estranged couple's relationship was just not the same since the alleged cheating video was leaked. The source added that Azalea's questioning was seemingly driving Young crazy, and stressed that the former do not trust the latter any longer.
