Blake Lively recently made a guest appearance on NBC's "The Tonight Show" on Monday, June 20. In the late-night talk show, the 28-year-old actress talks about being away from her husband Ryan Reynolds on Father's Day, but seeing him everywhere - thanks to "Deadpool."
Talking to the show's host Jimmy Fallon, Lively revealed that she and her husband spent Father's Day apart this year, stressing on how pretty terrible it is to watch her husband's sex montage while she was on a plane with their daughter, James.
"It's kind of torture these days because I'm on a plane and everywhere I look, every screen is my husband in sex montage throughout the holidays with another woman," Lively said, as quoted by E! News. "It's a cruel and unusual form of torture."
Lively proceeded to say that while her daughter did not exactly understand what she was seeing on screen, James recognized her father. She added that their 1-year-old daughter, then started hugging and kissing the television screen, thinking that it is FaceTime.
"Then my daughter goes, 'Dada!' She's [sic] waving at him and he's not waving back," said Lively. "But of course, daddy is... 'getting it' with the mashed potatoes."
It can be recalled that Lively and Reynolds met one another while filming the superhero film, "Green Lantern," in early 2010. The two shortly began dating in October 2011 and bought a home in Bedford, New York, the following year.
After several years of dating, Lively and Reynolds tied the wedding knots on Sept. 9, 2012, at a Boone Hall in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and was blessed with a healthy baby girl, James, in December 2014. In April 2016, it was reported that the Hollywood couple is expecting their second child.
Meanwhile, Lively is poised to make her next big screen appearance in "The Shallows," an upcoming survival horror thriller film, The Hollywood Reporter reported. The actress will play a young ace-surfer, Nancy Adams, who gets stranded on a goliath rock - 200 yards away from the shore at a secluded beach called Paradise.
An unforeseen obstacle arises when an enormous great white shark comes between her and the shore. The survival-thriller film, which also stars Brett Cullen, Óscar Jaenada, and Sedona Legge, is scheduled to be released on June 24 by Columbia Pictures.
