According to newly signed-on executive producer Scott Gemmill of "NCIS: Los Angeles," things are looking up for Marty Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi Blye (played by Daniela Ruah) in the upcoming "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8.
According to an interview with the International Business Times, the executive producer says that the writers are up to something good in terms of continuing the romance between Deeks and Kensi. Gemmill shared that although a "proper proposal" will not be slated for the on-screen couple until the next season, the two are going to take their relationship a step further.
According to the Hall of Fame Magazine, "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 saw scenes where Deeks and Kensi talked about the subject of kids and engagement. The producer also shared that he knows how he wants to play out the engagement between the two, but also assures the fans that the progression towards this will be worth the wait.
Gemmill replaces former show runner Shane Brennan, as the latter signed on a two-year contract with CBS to create a new TV series based off the 2010 movie "The Expendables," according to the Hall of Fame Magazine. A lot of fans were concerned about this departure, but fellow executive producer John Peter Kousakis took to Twitter to assure fans that there is no way but up for the show.
Kousakis shared that the upcoming "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8 will be a "sensational" season, and that it "won't disappoint" the fans. He also revealed in another tweet that the CBS show is slated to return on Oct. 2 at 8pm, which gives fans a few more months to form theories on what will happen on the show.
A report from the Christian Times also revealed that the "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8 is set to continue from where the previous season left off. This means that G. Callen will still be on his road towards finding out who he really is - his true identity, family origins, amongst others.
