F4's Ken Chu, 37, and actress Han Wenwen, 34, held a private wedding dinner in Taipei, Taiwan on July 1, Friday. Latest reports claimed that Chu and Han have been transporting to various countries for their wedding rites.
Chu, who catapulted to international fame after starring in 2001's "Meteor Garden," proposed to Han during her 34th birthday party, The Strait Times reported. The couple officially registered their marriage in Han's hometown, Shenyang, China on April 12.
The newlywed couple then took wedding photographs in Bali, Indonesia and shortly returned to Taiwan in June to enlist their marriage in the said country. Chu and Han held their private wedding ceremony alongside their close friends and family in Taipei.
It is said that the couple tried to keep the wedding a secret, but an unnamed friend reportedly posted photos on social media, which were shortly seen by local paparazzi. The good news comes just a couple of months after it was initially reported that the couple secretly got married.
In March, speculations are rife that Han and Chu already tied the wedding knots after fans spotted the two in Bangkok on their rumored honeymoon. Rumor has it that Han is reportedly pregnant at the time.
"We have only filed a notice of intended marriage, and we will need to return to Taiwan to complete the application," Chu's manager told Asian Pop News at the time. "We will pick an auspicious date sometime this year to register for marriage."
The newlywed couple was first linked in 2015 after they were photographed holding hands in a local shopping center. It was reported previously that Chu and Han's paths initially crossed when the former went back studying at Beijing Film Academy. Coincidentally, Han is an alumnus of the said school.
With Chu's latest marriage, Jerry Yan, 38, will be the only bachelor left in F4. Fellow member Vaness Wu wedded Singaporean heiress Arissa Cheo in 2013, while Vic Chou and Taiwanese actress Reen Yu tied the wedding knots in 2015.
F4, otherwise known as JVKV, was formed in 2001 shortly after the success of the Taiwanese mega-hit drama "Meteor Garden." The group released three albums, 2001's "Meteor Rain", 2002's "Fantasy 4ever" and 2007's "Waiting for You", since their debut and have also starred in several Taiwanese dramas together.
