Players of Blizzard's popular game "Overwatch" can look forward to receiving some great news in the coming weeks. Blizzard developers are set to join the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con where a special panel will be held to unveil a new game character, VG 24/7 reported.
Game aficionados and avid fans can expect to see some of the key people behind the said gaming title. Blizzard's Director of Story and Creative Development James Waugh will be attending the said panel, along with the game's Senior Designer Michael Chu and "Overwatch" Assistant Art Director Arnold Tsang. The panel, titled "Behind The Scenes of Overwatch's Newest Hero," will also include a rare look at Blizzard's creative process.
Comic-Con attendees can discover some of the different aspects that developers have had to consider in creating a new game hero. This includes a quick peek at the story development process, as well as the art and design creation. Blizzard's "Overwatch" panel has been scheduled on Thursday, July 21.
Meanwhile, speculations hinted that the new game character would be named Sombra, as indicated in the same report. The new "Overwatch" hero has also been rumored to have both sniper and medic abilities.
In other news, Sony has recently released its list of top-selling games for Playstation consoles for the month of June. Blizzard's "Overwatch" has landed on the second spot, just below EA and DICE's "Battlefield 4." Another "Battlefield" game that also made it to Sony PS4's top three selling games is "Battlefield: Hardline," Attack of the Fanboy reported.
Some avid Blizzard fans may be shocked by the news. However, the said game titles special sale event may have helped to push "Battlefield" and "Battlefield: Hardline" to the top of Sony's list. The two game titles were on sale for $4.79 each, as stated in the same report.
