A lot of fans of the "Maze Runner 3" are still waiting for confirmation, despite the producers assurance that its planning a 2018 premiere. According to new reports, the series main star Dylan O'Brien's condition is still unknown.
After the actor sustained serious injuries in March, the filming of "Maze Runner 3" was put into halt. Until this date, there are no updates regarding about O'Brien's condition or how he is recovering from his wounds. The news fueled more speculations that the next installment could not hit its target date of release, which was scheduled on Jan. 12, 2018.
As to the details of O'Brien's accident, it seemed that he sustained more injuries than what were previously reported. In a statement obtained by Sugarscape, WorkSafeBC stated that O'Brien was pulled to the ground brought about by his own safety vehicle. The report added that the actor was dragged under the vehicle.
It revealed that O'Brien sustained concussion, facial fracture and lacerations. Since then, the "Teen Wolf" star had released only one statement that he is recovering until the production of "Maze Runner 3" resumes.
There were earlier reports that say that 20th Century Fox was blamed by WorkSafeBC for the accident. Initial reports of WorkSafeBC stated that the trailing vehicle of O'Brien went down prematurely causing the accident.
Fox replied with a report contradicting the findings of WorkSafeBC. It revealed that the stunts were properly rehearsed, and they also had a safety meeting with the cast and crew before any action sequence.
With other developments of "Maze Runner 3," director Wes Ball revealed that the third book will have a future storyline. The story will skip a year from the "Scorching Trials" focusing on the events a year after Minho (Ki Hong Lee) was abducted.

"It's gonna be a different kind of an engine, a different kind of genre almost and a different sort of color palette and terrain."
