"Doctors" actress Park Shin Hye, 26, shocked fans across the globe with her significant weight loss. On tvN's "The List," she was ranked third among stars who accomplished significant weight loss, following actor Jung Kyung Ho and host Park Ji Yoon.
It was revealed that the Hallyu star's hours of consistent workouts and diet were vital for accomplishing her ideal weight. Park, who made her acting debut in SBS's "Stairway to Heaven" (2003), apparently ate two meals a day and abstained from eating anything after 6:00 PM (EST), The Kpop Herald reported.
According to the publication, Park only eats cucumber or cabbage whenever she feels hungry. She also cycles two to three times a week and works out regularly, including a modern dance workout.
As for her glowing skin, Park frequently drinks a broth made out of red bean and pumpkin. It is said that it will seemingly help achieving puffiness in the face.
"I've lost a lot of baby fat," All Kpop quoted Park as saying during "V's" live podcast on June 8, Friday. "My actual weight is not much different."
During the 10-minute podcast, Park also complimented her "Doctors" co-star Kim Rae Won, 35, saying that the latter takes really good care of her on the drama's set. In the on-going drama, Park and Kim portray the on-screen couple, Yoo Hye Jung and Hong Ji Hong, respectively.
"Doctors" premiered on June 20. Helmed by Oh Choong Hwan, the 20-episode medical drama depicts the growth and transformation of a skeptical wayward gangster, Yoo Hye Jung. She eventually becomes a decent and compassionate doctor after meeting her mentor, Hong Ji Hong (Kim), who is a prestigious neurosurgeon specialist.
The drama's sixth episode, which aired on July 5, has recorded 21.6 percent in viewership ratings, around 1.4 percent increase from the previous episode. With that in mind, many individuals strongly speculated that "Doctors" may replicate the unequivocal success of "Descendants of the Sun," which starred actor Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo.
Meanwhile, the next episode of "Doctors" airs July 12 at 10:00 PM (KST). The drama also stars Lee Sung-Kyung, Yoon Gyun Sang, Kim Min Seok, Ji Soo, Jang Hyun Sung, Jo Hyun Sik, Yoo Da In, Pyo Ye Jin, Baek Sung Hyung, Choi Sung Jae, Kim Kang Hyun, Ji Yi Soo and Lee Sun Ho.
