The latest details for "No Man's Sky" will feature a new gameplay trailer showcasing space combat and a Dutch Company claims the developers used their formula without permission.
Sony and Hello Games streamed the new game trailer for "No Man's Sky" as it features gamers going into space and having a dog fight with enemy units across the galaxy. Gamers will be able to wield various blasters on the ground against hostile robots and extraterrestrials as they must survive the incoming onslaught on the planet.
In addition, there is the possibility of players encountering aggressive computer-controlled fleets of star ships intent on destroying them. The player's space craft will be equipped with an array of weapons such as plasma cannons, laser beams, and more.
Hello Games will be revealing more in-game features for "No Man's Sky" as they will explain the aspects of trading and survival within the game, Gamerant reported.
In other news, several rumor and speculations that have been making rounds regarding the development of "No Man's Sky" as a GeoGaf user claimed that Hello Games used a "Superformula" from a Dutch based Company, Genicap without any sort of permission.
Genicap's spokesperson Jereon Sparrow stated that they have not provided the license for Hello Games to use the Superformula features in the development of "No Man's Sky". Sparrow added that they will not stop the game's launch, but if Hello Games decides to use the formula, then they will have a serious discussion about the matter.
So far, Sparrow has been reaching out to Hello Games regarding the matter, but has not yet to get any sort of response from them, IGN reported.
"No Man's Sky" will feature over 18 quintillion planets in a huge universe as players can travel through space, land and even underwater. Gamers will the opportunity to explore different terrains and discover all sorts of plants and wild alien creatures. Upgrading weapons, gear and space ship can be possible using all of the available resources within a planet, but they must be beware that enemy sentinels will be present if ever they decide to attack the planet.
Hyperdrive upgrades are also needed for players to travel further into the galaxy. Hello Games founder Sean Murray stated that gamers will likely bump into each other within "No Man's Sky", but the chances of that happening due to how massive the areas of this game can really offer.
"No Man's Sky" will launch on Aug. 9 in the United States, Aug. 10 in Europe and Aug. 12 in the United Kingdom for the PS4 and PC platforms.
