Loyal followers of the South Korean group JYJ will have another chance to enjoy special fan activities during an upcoming Membership Week. However, content containing band member Park Yoochun will not be featured in the annual event.
The three-member group JYJ comprised of Kim Jaejoong, Kim Junsu and Yoochun has been one of the famous boy bands in South Korea. The three musicians, former members of the singing group TVXQ, have also accumulated a huge international fanbase. One of the events that many fans have been looking forward to has been the group's annual Membership Week.
C-JeS Entertainment, the South Korean's group agency, has announced on Tuesday, July 26, that the 2016 JYJ Membership Week will be held on September at Seoul's COEX Hall in Gangnam, Soompi reported. However, the event will not include any content that would feature Yoochun. C-JeS explained that the singer will not participate in this year's event due to Yoochun's ongoing police investigation.
The singer and actor has been involved in several allegations where four women claimed that Yoochun sexually assaulted them. The police are still investigating the allegations. Although, the "Girl Who Sees Smells" actor has already filed a countersuit against the first two women over false allegations.
C-JeS also asked the fans' support in its announcement. The entertainment company requested Yoochun's loyal followers to patiently wait for the results of the police investigation. "We ... trust that he will soon be acquitted," C-JeS stated.
The upcoming 2016 JYJ Membership Week will treat fans with full membership in the fan club to several days of exciting events. C-JeS promised a week of fun activities where fans can view content that features the two JYJ members Jaejoong and Junsu such as a dance party, dressing room, talk show and never-before-seen footage, as indicated in the same report.
