The latest details for "No Man's Sky" will feature a new upgrade tree, no PlayStation Plus requirement and PC version release date delay in three days.
It seems that the PC release date for "No Man's Sky" has been delayed as Hello Games announced the PC version will be released on Aug. 12 three days from its original launch date. However, the release date for the PlayStation 4 still remains the same, VG 24/7 reported.
Hello Games did not offer any statement regarding the sudden delay of "No Man's Sky" in the PC platform, which left several gamers baffled and confuse about the changes
In other news, Hello Games has featured a new level tree system for "No Man's Sky" as gamers will use it as a guide to further advance their exploration and skills in the game. One aspect of the level up tree aspect is that design of the menu is somewhat similar to another sci-fi video game titles, "Destiny", Gamerant reported.
Both games utilize a similar resource organization screen as well as a cursor to navigate around the UI.
Hello Games founder Sean Murray stated that he wants the trading component in "No Man's Sky" to be accessible to all gamers, even ones that have not previously played games with an emphasis on an in-game economy. Perhaps the similarities in the menu layouts are part of Hello Games’ plan to keep "No Man’s Sky" as a game that players will be able to pick up and play with relative ease.
In addition, gamers will not be restricted to just selling raw materials, as players will are given the option to use harvested resources to craft their own weapons and equipment, either for personal use or to sell on the market for greater profits. Murray explained that he wanted trading in "No Man's Sky" to be fun for everyone.
Lastly, Hello Games confirmed that gamers will not need a PlayStation Plus to be connected to the game's online content due to the fact that gamers will unlikely see each other exploring the 18 quintillion planets within the game.
Previous reports claim that Hello Games used the "Superformula" from a Dutch based Company, Genicap without any sort of permission. The company's spokesperson Jereon Sparrow stated that they have not provided the license for Hello Games to use the Superformula features in the development of "No Man's Sky".
Sparrow added that they will not stop the game's launch, but if Hello Games decides to use the formula, then they will have a serious discussion about the matter. Hello Games has not yet made any statements regarding the claim.
"No Man's Sky" will launch on Aug. 9 in the United States, Aug. 10 in Europe and Aug. 12 in the United Kingdom for the PS4, while the PC version will be on Aug. 12.
