Seems like "The Royals" Season 3 will also be a family affair for Elizabeth Hurley, thanks to her son Damian Hurley's recent casting on the show.
According to E! Online, Elizabeth's 14-year-old son will be playing the role of Prince Hansel, the Crown Prince of Liechtenstein. This acting stint on the show's third season will be Damian's acting debut, and Elizabeth has taken to social media to express her happiness for her son, Scoop Everyday reported.
Elizabeth's Instagram account features two heartwarming posts of the actress and her son; one on set and one on the way home from filming. In one of the selfies, "The Royals" actress shared that she is "passing on the baton to [her] son" while she takes a "back seat" to watch her son act in his scenes.
Soon after they wrapped up on set, Elizabeth took to Instagram again to share her stage mom moments, giving her son "a million congratulations" for finishing his first day of filming. In an interview prior Damian's official casting, Elizabeth shared that her son would often times hang out on set and watch her in action.
The "Bedazzled" fame went on to say that her 14-year-old son "loves it," and is aspiring to "go into movies in some way." It seems then, that his casting on the show is one step for Damian to achieve his dreams.
According to Yahoo! News, the hit E! TV series is set to be an early Christmas present from the TV network, as "The Royals" Season 3 will be premiering in December. In the show's timeline, the premiere episode is set to pick up two weeks after King Simon's murderer is supposedly executed.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth teased that there will be "a lot of intrigue," "scandal," "drama," and "some big twists" underway for "The Royals" Season 3. Along with these "big twists" is the fact that Prince Robert is indeed alive, with the casting of Max Brown as proof for the Prince's comeback to the palace.
Joining Brown in "The Royals" Season 3 is British actor Jules Knight, playing the role of Spencer Hoenigsberg, the new Lord Chamberlain to the Queen of England, along with Genevieve Gaunt as Wilhelmina.
