Apple is finally close to revealing the iPhone 7 specs and release date but rumors are already getting ahead of themselves as leaks surface about the new device confirming earlier speculations.
It is no secret that the Cupertino-based tech giant is scraping the standard 3.5mm headphone jack from the iPhone 7. Apple could be heading towards wireless earphones or earbuds to make more money by reportedly selling their own brand called "Apple Earpods."
Recent photo leaks have shown that the bottom of the iPhone 7 variants do not sport the headphone jack. Others have anticipated that Apple will install stereo speakers instead but a new leak from a French website Nowhereelse.fr showed that there will be no such setup, Forbes has learned.
The speaker grilles on the bottom of the iPhone 7 is said to be just a cosmetic housing for the microphone. Not only do the users have to use wireless earphones and headphones, they would also have to stick to the iPhone's mono speaker.
Another disappointing leaked info is the absence of the anticipated touch sensitive home button. Apple could just be removing the physical home button and placing soft-touch virtual ones similar to the Google Nexus 2016 smartphones.
One good news is that there have been iPhone 7 leaked photos showing a new Space Black color option, Mashable reported. Techtastic, a website from the Netherlands, uploaded several photos of the iPhone 7 Space Black color which also shows a physical home button on the front end of the device.

Earlier reports have also claimed that Apple could be offering the iPhone 7 in a new soft blue color. Unbox Therapy on YouTube even uploaded a video showing off an alleged physical mockup of Apple's new device.
With the numerous iPhone 7 leaks and speculations, it is hard to keep track of what could be true and what is not. Apple will just have to confirm or debunk all of them once they officially reveal the iPhone 7 in a few weeks based on their previous release dates for the iPhone 6 and older models.
