New details and possible spoilers for "Avengers: Infinity War" will feature a new Marvel character debuting in the film and the X-Men will not join the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon.
"Captain America: Civil War" directors Anthony and Joe Russo revealed new details for the third "Avengers" film, "Avengers: Infinity War" as they told The Indian Express that the brothers are teasing a new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While the Russo brothers did not announced who this debuting character is during the events of "Avengers: Infinity War", several sources speculated that this character will likely be Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and "Room" actress Brie Larson was announced to play Carol during the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con event.
Anthony Russo stated that he and his brother Joe, had there hands full with trying to tell the story of "Avengers: Infinity War" without pre-existing characters as Joe jokingly remarked that his brother could have died from exhaustion just thinking about it.
However, both brothers assured Marvel fans that the new character will be showing up in "Avengers: Infinity War" anytime soon.
In other news, it seems that the possible appearance of the X-Men in the MCU will likely not happen as the Russo brothers cleared out the rumors surrounding the inclusion of the Children of the Atom.
Previous speculations and rumors stated that "Batman" producer Matt Key claimed that 20th Century Fox is open for a discussion with Marvel to have a potential collaboration sometime soon, hence hinting that the Avengers will meet the X-Men in the MCU soon.
However, Joe told ComicBook that there have been no talks regarding having the X-Men in the MCU and did not noticed any behind-the-scenes conversations or even heard of any plans about it.
Fox made a huge success from the "X-Men" film franchise as they recently launched two X-Men related movies such as "Deadpool" and "X-Men: Apocalypse" and looks to continue the momentum with "Wolverine 3", "The New Mutants", "Deadpool 2", the "Legion" TV series and possibly "X-Force" spin off.
Marvel had already successfully brought Spider-Man in the MCU thanks to the collaboration with Sony and it will not be long before Fox can bring the children of the atom, as well as the Fantastic Four into the same universe soon. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo wanted to have Wolverine into the MCU since Hugh Jackman will be retiring the character after "Wolverine 3".
The third film will introduce a number of characters in the MCU such as Doctor Strange and the Guardians of the Galaxy as they join Earth's Mightiest Heroes in fighting the Mad Titan Thanos for the Infinity Stones.
"Avengers: Infinity War" is slated to be release on May 4, 2018, while the fourth film is scheduled on May 3, 2019.
