Reports are rife that Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo recently met with the writer of "Descendants of the Sun" Season 2 to talk about the upcoming sequel. It is also rumored that the two lead characters might be dating.
Joong-ki and Hye-kyo were spotted talking to one of the writers of "Descendants of the Sun." the two are carefully assessing what they should do next since they want the sequel to turn out just as successful as Season 1, according to Soompi. There are rumors that the meeting might have been for an entirely different series, possibly the second one for the renowned love team.
In case Joong-ki and Hye-kyo decide to do a second installment for "Descendants of the Sun," the storyline might involve a baby-sit well with aficionados. The two might get married and raise a family in Season 2, and with their crackling on-screen romance, fans should be excited.
Meanwhile, while Hye-kyo was absent during the Seoul International Drama Awards 2016 that took place on Thursday Sept. 8, her rumored real-life boyfriend represented the Korean war drama that took the world by surprise. Joong-ki won an award for the Outstanding Korean Actor, and during his acceptance speech and on the red carpet interview; he jokingly talked about Hye-kyo.
The actor might have unveiled the status of his relationship with Hye-kyo when he dished on the actress' generous gift to him when he was shooting "Battleship Island," according to a different report by the same publication. Hye-kyo reportedly sent him coffee during the filming, but Joong-ki corrected the reports.
Joong-ki said that the actress not only sent a coffee truck, but also a snack truck, adding that she is the best partner. Fans were left wondering whether these remarks were an acceptance that he and Hye-kyo are involved in a real-life love relationship.
