“Descendants of the Sun” actress Song Hye Kyo was missing at the recent Seoul Drama Awards on Sept. 8, but her fans will find her photos in a new commercial for Shilla Duty Free. She and Korean actor Lee Kwang Soo are the models for the shop.
Lee Kwang Soo wore white for the promotional commercial of Shilla Duty Free shop after he was signed as brand ambassador. The two Hallyu stars have already shot for the first two commercial films of the retailer, reported IBT.
In picking Lee Kwang Soo as brand ambassador, Shilla Duty Free said it is banking on the following of the “Running Man” actor in South Korea and overseas. “Lee Kwang Soo is garnering immense popularity evenly throughout men, women, young, and old throughout all of Asia including China and Korea through his bright and friendly image,” the Duty Free spokesperson said.
Soompi noted that the actor showed a different glamorous side of his personality when he shot the commercial, different from his goofy image in the SBS variety show. The photos, released by King Kong Entertainment, his agency showed Lee Kwang Soo flaunt his tall height and impressive proportions, while looking warm and cheerful at the camera.
The actor remained professional and bright during the photoshoot even if he has a very busy schedule filming the upcoming tvN drama “Entourage.” He even conversed with the photoshoot staff during breaks while shooting the commercial.
Previous brand ambassadors of Shilla Duty Free were boy band SHINee, TVXQ and Angela Baby.
