There were many expectations from "Clash of Clans" avid fans that Supercell would release a new update for the game in September. One of Supercell's staff members, Anoushka, teased at the end of September via Supercell forum that fans should expect new sneak peeks for "Clash of Clans" this week. As a result, the much-rumored update for the freemium MMO strategy video game will arrive this October.

Anoushka is uncertain with regard to the exact release date of the update. However, the member encouraged fans to remain patient as they look forward to the release of sneak peeks.

Based on previous update cycles, there are high chances that the new update will roll out on Oct. 11. On the contrary, another Supercell staff member, Marika, hinted via All Clash that the game developer is still working on "COC" now, which means that the update may not come out on the said date.  If this information is to go by, Anoushka's announcement about the sneak peeks for the upcoming "COC" update will definitely go live this month, but the actual update would probably release by the end of the month or as late as next month.

Meanwhile, Marika pointed out that aficionados should look forward to a treat besides the highly expected update. According to the staff member, Supercell will introduce a Friendly War, which allows gamers to discover which between the Ground and Air has a stronger force.

Although only ground troops or only air troops might not be players' usual army composition, this will not be a normal Clan War. Therefore, gamers will have something to expect in the near future.

"Clash of Clans" October update will reportedly be more friendly to new players. As a result, players who are still below Town Hall Level 11 will benefit more in the upcoming update.

It is also believed that the imminent update will feature a penalty system. However, there are no further details on what exactly the penalty system will be about.
