New details for "Tekken 7" will feature Miguel's return to the roster, a February 2017 release date and possible first DLC character.
Bandai Namco Entertainment streamed a new game trailer for "Tekken 7" as Miguel Caballero Rojo makes his return to the game's roster. Miguel was first introduced in "Tekken 6" as he continues his quest for revenge against Jin Kazama and the Mishima Zaibatsu for the death his sister.
Miguel in "Tekken 7" will bring an unorthodox street fighting style coupled with a ruthless aggression to his opponents in the fight, GearNuke reported.
Aside from Miguel's return to the roster, Bandai Namco teased a possible DLC character for "Tekken 7" as Game producer Katsuhiro Harada hinted that Hong Kong super cop Lei Wulong will likely the a DLC playable fighter in th roster.
Harada explained the reasons for Lei being a possible DLC character due to the fact that the usage for the character was very low and their effort was not enough. With that in mind, gamers will not likely see Lei Wulong in the main roster when "Tekken 7" launches next year, or Bandai Namco will still include him in the game as a DLC in their post-launch plans.
Lei Wulong has been a main stay in the "Tekken" game series ever since his debut in "Tekken 2". "Tekken 7's" roster so far, include Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Lars Alexanderson, Alisa, Asuka, Lili, King, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Lee, Nina, Bryan Fury, Leo, Feng Wei, Yoshimitsu, Xiaoyu, Dragunov, Bob and Devil Jin. There also new faces inroduced in the sequel such as Katarina Alves, Claudio Serafino, Jose Rizal, Lucky Chloe, Jack-7, Gigas, Shaheen, Master Raven, Akuma and Kazumi Mishima.
Harada added that he is planning to develop a DLC pack before "Tekken 7" gets post-launched. He stated that "Tekken 7" must be released to consoles as a package to improve gaming experience. The game producer also shut down the rumor that "Tekken 7" will feature a cross-platform gameplay as he fears PC users will "cheat" their way into winning the game, giving an unfair advantage to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users, GameNGuide reported.
In other news, the rumored release date for "Tekken 7" could happen on February 2017 via tweet from Twitter username Wonki.
However, Bandai Namco has yet to make a statement regarding the validity of the information as gaming fans are still skeptical about information from Wonkey's source.
Bandai Namco will be present at this year's E-Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) event on Oct. 28-30 at the SMX Convention Center , Mall of Asia Complex, Manila, Philippines.
"Tekken 7" will launch in early 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC.
