Telltale Games' point-and-click adventure game "Batman: The Telltale Series" will soon get a new episode to depict Bruce's new challenges in Gotham City. A new clip for the upcoming DLC teased of Joker's encounter with Bruce in an unexpected location and other interesting details.
The teaser clip for "Batman: The Telltale Series'" penultimate episode titled "Guardian of Gotham" featured several intriguing plot developments that include Bruce's entry to Arkham Asylum, a war-stricken Gotham City and the appearance of an iconic villain. Released on Nov. 17, Thursday, through Telltale Games' official website, the video gave fans a glimpse of Bruce's torturous life alongside some of Gotham's criminally insane characters.
Wayne Industries has a new boss namely Penguin, one of Batman's arch-enemies, as Bruce deals with his new life behind a walled fort. With Bruce locked inside the Arkham Asylum, Gotham City became a dangerous place with residents caught in a war between the Children of Arkham and Harvey Dent's men.
Batman is needed more than ever, however, Bruce will need to find a way to escape from Arkham Asylum. To come up with a successful plan, he may need to form allies among the criminally insane.
In Telltale Games' episode 4 teaser announcement, the gaming company warned players on how their in-game choices in "Guardian of Gotham" will impact their gameplay experience in the upcoming final episode. Gamers will also find themselves in different scenarios at the end of episode 4 depending on their selected moves during its third act.
Meanwhile, Telltale Games' episode 3 titled "New World Order" featured various story twists that included Bruce's decision to relinquish his role as Wayne Industries' CEO after his father's crimes were made public. Many gamers have also been hoping that the upcoming episode 4 will provide them with interesting detective missions and bigger consequences stemming from a player's input.
Game reviews for episode 3 posted on IGN even highlighted how the said "Batman: The Telltale Series" DLC lacked the consequences that would have made the game more interesting. Some of the detective missions have also become redundant although the combat scenes and animation were impressively executed.
