It was inevitable that comparisons would be made between the PS4 Pro and the original PS4, and an interesting one has shown that the game "The Last Guardian" plays better on the recently released console.
The comparison of how the PlayStation 4 exclusive game "The Last Guardian" plays on the PlayStation 4 Pro console have started cropping up and it is not all good news for Sony. In fact, as soon as they started appearing, it was clear that that the PlayStation 4 Pro had an edge over the older PlayStation 4 when it comes to frame rate.
Comparing the frame rate of these two consoles, it quickly became evident that the best way to play "The Last Guardian" was on the PS4 Pro, Eurogamer reported. This superior performance of the game on the advanced PS4 Pro is expected; however, it still managed to surprise many as the "The Last Guardian" had been in development for over nine years and it was originally created for the PS3.
Also when "The Last Guardian" was released for the original PS4, no mention was made about it being supported by the PS4 Pro and the settings for it. However, the game is fully supported on the PS4 Pro and it can be rendered using three options, one is 4K and the others are 2160p and 1890p. Among all these rendering modes, the 1080p option is being labeled as the best on the PS4 Pro as the game plays at a 30 fps and users get to see it in full HD.
While on the original PS4, the game has been shown to dip down to about 10fps in some areas and otherwise run at a slower 20fps. This particular problem of the dip in frame rate can be solved by restarting the PS4 console, Polygon reported.
With the "The Last Guardian" arriving on the PS4 this year, several gamers are going to take note of the fact that the PS4 Pro provides a big benefit in terms of frame rate. Especially for those who value good visuals in a game, the superior experience that the PS4 Pro delivers is going to be very attractive and it is likely that many will choose to buy the console because of it.
