Capcom announced that the demo for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be made available for the Xbox One and PC this month. The demo has been available for the PS4 since June and PS4 players have also had exclusive access to a special VR mode for the game.
Xbox One players will have access to the demo first as it launches on the console this Dec. 9. PC players will gain access to the demo on Dec. 19. According to the official Capcom blog, these demo versions will come with all of the updates that PS4 players have enjoyed, including the new "Midnight" demo.
The PC version is also going to get the most customizable options, as listed on the game's Steam page. Several of these options include adjusting the resolution, refresh rate, display mode, field of view, frame rate, v-sync, rendering method, depth of field, bloom effects, chromatic aberration and more.
PS4 players will also benefit from the updated demo. An exclusive mode for the Playstation VR will now be accessible and players using a PS4 Pro will benefit from gaming in full 4K resolution. Both the regular PS4 and PS4 Pro will also benefit from HDR support on televisions that support this mode.
With each update come several changes to the demo, such as additional functions for the mysterious severed finger and the features prominent on a locked door. It should be noted that the demo is a standalone entry and all of its content will not be found as is in the final game.
This is going to be the final demo for the game as it launches for PS4, Xbox One and PC on Jan. 24, 2017. This comes just a few days prior to the launch of the newest "Resident Evil" movie, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter." The film is set to be the seventh and final entry in the live-action film series and launches Jan. 27, 2017.
