Blizzard's team-based multiplayer mayhem - "Overwatch" hinted over social media its next update that will be released to its fandom next week. It is very much evident that a Holiday-themed patch looms as players of the first-person shooter are now contemplating as to what's in store for them.

The game's Twitter page pinned up a gif image of a Holiday card that serves as an invitation to its avid fans about the impending event. The tweet even indicated the date as to when the patch will be rolled out, which is this coming Dec. 13.

About a month prior to such, IGN made it known that some fans have purportedly scraped off some data files pointing to the forthcoming game tweak. Moreover, recent reports also suggest that the Christmas event within the game will be adding several new maps, one of which will be dressed just in time for the Holidays. Aside from this, most of the characters are believed to be getting new skins, and other nifty stuff that will be in line with this season.

If rumors are anything to go by, it is said that the likes of Roadhog, Reaper, Reinhardt, Lucio, Ana, D.Va, and the recently added Sombra, will be endowed with either a new emote, an intro pose, or a new skin. In the interim, Tracer, Zenyatta, Mei, and McCree are speculated to be getting two out of the three aforementioned treats. However, the heavily bearded weapons designer, Torbjorn, will be snagging all of it. Fans, on the other hand, might want to chew on these with dashes of salt since Blizzard has yet to make a statement to such claims or they could just wait for the patch to arrive which is just five days away from now.

Meanwhile, Gamespot also noted that some fans even dug up Holiday-sounding audio files that also provided clues about an upcoming game event within the first person shooter.
