"Limitless" Season 2 waiting game may soon be over as the online petition for its return will soon hit its target. Although it is not confirmed yet, CBS might consider a follow-up after online clamors of fans.
"Limitless" follow-up series has been highly anticipated by fans ever since season 1 has ended. However, due to some setbacks, CBS and its series producers decided for its cancellation. With such occurrence, avid fans of the American dramedy television series started an online petition to somehow pressure show producers and media networks for "Limitless" Season 2.
It can be remembered that "Limitless" initially had a successful sailing, but succeeding episodes somehow did not manage to convince executives to renew the series for another season. One of the known factors behind the decision according to Yahoo News is its media standing, landing a live-plus-same-day stats of 1.4 placing it well behind that of Tuesday night counterparts NCIS with 2.2 stat.
However, such fate of Brian Finch and the rest of the crew may soon be changed as the online petition made by fans soon reaches its target. It can be remembered that weeks after the cancellation of the series an online petition was made having CBS as its target. The aim of the petition is to renew "Limitless" for Season 2.
As of the current count, the petition already gained 38,909 supporters, short of 1,091 supporters of its 40,000 goal. However, caution should be exercised in anticipating the petition's success. Even though the petition's targets CBS television network, there is still no assurance how the network will respond to the plea of the avid fans worldwide.
Under such conditions, guess it would be best to wait and see how things will turn out for the petition next year, and how CBS will respond to the clamor of fans for "Limitless" Season 2.
