Author George R. R. Martin had a relatively stress-free Christmas, which led to speculations that he might had finished the much-delayed book "Winds of Winter." Prior to the Christmas season, he was in a lot of stress as he was sad about the unfinished book.
Martin wrote in his journal NotABlog that he has survived another Christmas season. He is not a big fan of Christmas as his favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Halloween. He added that "Christmas has always been too stressful, at least since I became an adult (a long long time ago). But this year's was relatively mellow. I spent it at home with Parris, friends, and cats, and a good time was had by all."
However, this Christmas season was an exception for the acclaimed author and it may be because he has finished "Winds of Winter." Martin has been under a lot of stress for finishing "Winds of Winter" on time since the last two years. He has blamed the delay in finishing the book due to numerous convention visits and public appearances.
In case Martin is finally done writing the much-anticipated book, then it can be on the book shelves in one or two months. This way, "Winds of Winter" may release much before the TV adaptation "Game of Thrones" Season 7 premieres. Unfortunately, "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is also facing a delay because of production hurdles and it may premiere in May or June.
"Winds of Winter" is going to be a dark book as it will feature the deaths of a number of central characters, according to Mashable. It will have a very grim ending, which may not appeal to all the fans. Its sequel "A Dream of Spring" is also expected to have a very sad end.
On the other hand, "Winds of Winter" spoilers indicate that Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen may fall in love and eventually marry. Lannister is a very shrewd politician and his skills may be used by the Mother of Dragons to rule over her subjects.
