Nam Joo Hyuk, who played Jung Joon Hyung in MBC's "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," has admitted having a crush on veteran actresses Park Soo-Jin and Yoon Seung Ah. The 22-year-old actor revealed this to the local media during a recent interview at Cafe Kkumer in Hapjeong-Dong, Seoul.
Following the MBC drama's heartwarming finale, Nam sat down for an interview with the local media on Jan. 12, Thursday. There, he admitted he was enamored with Park Soo Jin and Yoon Seung Ah and that he was hurt as a fan when the two respectively tied the knot with actors Bae Yong-Joon and Kim Mu Yeol.
"I don't want to get hurt again, so I don't have any female celebrity I like right now," All Kpop quoted Nam as saying. "Because of the celebrities, I liked when I was younger, I carry around this pain. Now I'm supporting them."
Nam also opened up about the challenges that come with taking on the role of Jung Joon Hyung. To him, any drama series that requires exercise is difficult, Korean newsoutlet Sports Chosun, as cited by Soompi, quoted Nam as saying.
"I naturally started losing weight," Nam revealed. "My body's the type to lose weight if I don't exercise on a regular basis."
Since the "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" actor did not have enough time to eat while filming a few swimming scenes, his weight apparently started to diminish. He then revealed that he lost around five kilograms now.
Nam, who was named Best New Actor at the 36th MBC Drama Awards, said he felt blessed to have such overwhelming support from fans at home and abroad. He then assured them that he will continue to work hard in whatever endeavor he undertakes in the future.
