After the winter premiere of "The Vampire Diaries" directed by Ian Somerhalder, viewers are getting more excited to know the turns of events when it returns next week. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, episode 9 will see Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) getting more spiteful with the Salvatore brothers, particularly with Damon (Ian Somerhalder).

The synopsis of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, episode 9 reveals that Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon would return to Mystic Falls as commanded by Sybil in order to find the historical artifact. Bonnie (Kat Graham) would give Caroline (Candice King) worries that she may eventually decide to become a vampire since the former is sporting a vial of Enzo's (Michael Malarkey) blood. Sybil is going to play with Damon's imagination as she continues to taunt him with the memories of Elena (Nina Dobrev).
In next week's episode, viewers are going to witness a touch of nostalgia as the Salvatore brothers return to the Mystic Falls at the Miss Mystic Falls Pageant. The pageant is not new to the series as it has been a significant part of the show in its earlier days.
Stefan, Damon, Caroline, Bonnie and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will meet at the Miss Mystic Falls Pageant when "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, episode 9 picks up. Bonnie and Enzo's return may signal an important message about their future, Comic Book Movie reported.
Sybil is going to cause a huge surprise at the Miss Mystic Falls Pageant. Her ruthlessness will be more severe as she tries to play with the Salvatore brothers. Sybil will be causing trouble even among the audience as she tries to confuse them.
Although Sybil would copy Elena's image, it is not clear whether the latter would appear before the supernatural series wraps us this season, according to Carter Matt. Moreover, Damon would ask help from Caroline on how he could control his brother, who is becoming more of a slave under Sybil in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, episode 9.
The episode next week is directed by Geoff Shotz and written by Neil Reynolds and Penny Cox. It will air on Jan. 20, Friday, on The CW. Watch the trailer of the next episode below:
