After "Watch Dogs 2" received a fresh update on Jan 17, Developer Ubisoft has released another one for the PC version, introducing a new feature and several more minor tweaks.
The new update, dubbed "Watch Dogs 2 1.09.154," will be rolled out on Jan. 23, Monday, and will come with a new-fangled FPS slider in the game's options menu. According to the developer's patch notes, there were a few issues within the "Watch Dogs" PC community which needed to get fixed.
Luckily, Ubisoft patched up the game quickly and came up with the update. The following are the included fixes and tweaks:
Bug fix: After the last "Watch Dogs 2" update, some players lost their progress in the game. This will be fixed in the upcoming update.
New Feature: Since some "Watch Dogs 2" gamers asked for the ability to limit FPS on machines, Ubisoft has added a function called FPS limit slider. This will help gamers customize their game based on FPS.
Bug fix: In the game, sometimes shadows were found to be missing from characters in cut scenes. But with the new update, this will not be the case anymore.
In the meantime, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will have a chance to try out "Watch Dogs 2" for free for a limited time. Avid gamers can explore the game's multiplayer and single player for three hours max, according to Ubisoft blog.
The three-hour trial includes "full access to all the game's features, including its seamless co-op and multiplayer," as revealed in the blog. A player can dive into missions and get to know notorious characters like Marcus Holloway and DedSec and explore further beyond Bay Area freely.
One can also infiltrate confined areas with hacking equipment and wrec havoc with a buddy in the game. This means that the gamer's experience in the trial will come with the full version, therefore requiring one to have a space of 25 to 28 GB of storage, according to Polygon.
"Watch Dogs 2" trial is available for PlayStation players and can be downloaded via the PlayStation Store while Xbox One players will have to wait until Jan. 24.
