"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, episode 10 will see Damon (Ian Somerhalder) continuing to remember Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev).

In the previous episode, Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) tried to trigger Damon's memories of Elena when she attend the Miss Mystic Falls pageant by dressing up just like her.

It was not Sybil's intention to make Damon remember Elena so he could also be reminded of their love for each other. Instead, she wants to find Damon's weakness so she could manipulate him even more.

In the teaser released by The CW for "Nostalgia's A Bitch," Damon's memories of Elena are unstoppable, and it is no longer doing him any good. His friends, particularly Caroline (Candice Accola-King) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) will urge Sybil to stop controlling Damon.

However, the two female characters also know that it is only Sybil who could help Damon in this time of need. When they finally asked her for help, Sybil tells Caroline and Bonnie that the only way to change Damon's memories is by entering his mind again.

Caroline does as she is told, but she will be shocked to see that Damon has a lot of painful memories. She will not be able to handle them. As a result, Caroline will stop trying to control Damon's mind.

Meanwhile, Damon and Stefan (Paul Wesley) will also share an important scene with each other. In the teaser, Damon asks Stefan if he still remembers the vampire that he once told him about. Damon clarifies that it is not him, but Stefan who has been tormenting his own brother.

Stefan will be shocked to know the truth, but he will not stop at trying to be the more evil one of the two of them. He tells Damon that he has plans to burn Mystic Falls and no one can really stop him from doing so.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, episode 10 will air on The CW on Friday, Jan. 27 at 8 p.m. EST.
