"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale may be a happy one especially for Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola-King).
In an interview with the Huffington Post, the actress was asked to comment on rumors that she will reprise her role in the finale episode for the hit The CW series. Instead of saying yes or no, Dobrev simply reminded fans that she is not one to spill and secrets.
"I have not ever told secrets in the past and I am definitely not going to start now. Sorry guys, I am not allowed to talk about that," she said.
Dobrev's mysterious answer seems to suggest that she will indeed make a comeback in the final episode of the series. After all, Elena's friends took it upon themselves to write in their respective diaries that they can make the lead character read when she comes back to life.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly last year, executive producer Julie Plec revealed that Dobrev really wanted to see what happens to Elena in the finale.
"When she left, she said, 'I want to see this character to its end at the end of the show, so I cannot wait to come back and put her to bed again,'" she said. In a separate interview, Plec said that the only reason Dobrev will not make it to the finale is her busy schedule.
Meanwhile, Elena and Damon are not the two characters who will have a happy ending in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. There are ongoing speculations suggesting that Caroline will the tie the knot again, but this time it will be with Stefan.
Just recently, "The Vampire Diaries" cast member Kat Graham posted a photo of herself wearing what looked like a bridesmaid dress via her Instagram account. In the photo, the actress is seen lounging on top of a piano in between takes.
Since Bonnie and Caroline are best friends, fans of the hit The CW series started guessing that another wedding will take place in the show.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 airs Fridays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
