"The Originals" Season 5 has not yet been confirmed by The CW, but it seems that the series will not be cancelled anytime soon.
Just recently, Spoilers Guide came up with a list of the most popular TV shows from last year, and "The Originals" made the cut. In fact, the show made it at number 10.
According to the publication, the spinoff for "The Vampire Diaries" will pick up following the events that took place in Season 3. This includes Cami and Davina's deaths, as well as a five-year time-jump. This means that Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) daughter, Hope, will be a grown little person when the show returns this year.
Meanwhile, other than Hayley and Klaus' pact to become the best parents they could be for Hope, the former would also have a lot of things deal with in relation to her real love, Elijah (Daniel Gillies).
In an interview with TV Line just before he exited the franchise, former executive producer Michael Narducci said that Hayley and Elijah will continue to have feelings for each other. However, in order for their relationship to become peaceful, Hayley has a lot of things she needs to sacrifice.
"They have one of the most dynamic journeys that we are going to have dramatized this season. Right away, you are going to see what Hayley is willing to do to get the final pieces of the puzzle to get Elijah and his siblings back," he said.
But by the looks of it, Hayley will be successful in her newest mission because "The Originals" star Claire Holt is rumored to return to Season 4 as Rebekah. The character was also featured in the finale episode for Season 3. Rebekah and Marcel reunited, but only for a short while.
After the episode aired in May, Narducci told TV Line, "Claire is on fire in this episode. She has such a range of things to play, from grief to hope reuniting with Marcel; the dying embers of her relationship with Marcel are so clearly displayed in the looks that she gives him."
"The Originals" Season 4 will premiere on The CW on March 17 at 9 p.m. EST.
