Dwyane Wade has done it all and hardly has any demands left unsettled. He is an NBA champion and finally got to savor a proper salary. Given those accomplishments, the 35-year-old all-star guard can easily walk away from basketball if chooses.
Apparently that seems to be on Dwyane Wade’s mind. He is aware that in a couple of years, it may be time to hang up those sneakers. However, he wants to leave the game a winner and according to his terms. He can exercise his $23.8 million and stay with the Chicago Bulls for the 2017-18 season or bolt out and join a winning team that has high chances of winning another NBA title, NBA.com reported.
With three NBA rings in hand, adding another doesn’t seem to be of interest to “The Flash”. Rather, Dwyane Wade wants to be in a ballclub that is competitive and rack up the wins. At 23-24, the Bulls are barely in the playoff hunt and the all-star guard is not happy.
Dwyane Wade singles out what it takes to uphold a winning culture. He is aware of the competitive nature in the NBA and hits out at the inconsistency of the Bulls this season. He joined the Bulls with hopes of delivering an NBA title. As things stand now, Chicago needs to address a lot of things – particularly the area of consistency and winning.
The Bulls traded away Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah to the New York Knicks but retained Jimmy Butler to be the new face of the franchise. Aside from Wade, Rajon Rondo was also taken in for added experience. But as most know, the Rondo acquisition simply bombed out.
Rondo has been spending more time on the bench and is expected to be dealt soon. That could be done before the NBA trade deadline on Feb. 23. While that seems imminent, the controversial guard burned bridges yet again by voicing out criticism on the backlash coming from Wade and Butler. He posted an Instagram photo showing him along with Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce when they were still in Boston.

He hits out how true veterans would settle issues within the team and not to media. Such came after Butler and Wade ripped the team following a loss to the Hawks, ESPN reported.
