The latest details for Square Enix's "Avengers Project" game will feature possible Marvel characters added in the game and will it be connected to the "Spider-Man" PS4 title.
Square Enix and Marvel announced a new video game tite featuring the superhero team the Avengers, which is dubbed the "Avengers Project" alongside a teased trailer of the said game.
The announcement was made with the trailer that highlights the phrase “#Reassemble”, accompanied by various iconic weapons associated with the Avengers members such as Iron Man's repulsor gauntlet, Thor's Mjolnir Hammer and Captain America's iconic shield being shown in states of disarray and abandonment.
It appears that the "Avengers Project" will likely begin in a timeline that sees Earth's Mightiest Heroes being split up and suppressed by one or more villains. The "Avengers Project" will also be a multi-year, multi-game partnership that will see games produced at least until 2018.
Two other game studios Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics will also help Marvel and Square Enix develop and promote the game.
While there are no further details being hinted for the game's main plot and playable characters. Several gaming and Marvel fans had their own theories that "Avengers Project" could star lesser known heroes from the Marvel Comics as to those of the popular ones like Iron Man, Captain America and Hulk.
These heroes include the new Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan, Sam Alexander a.k.a. Nova, the second Hawkeye and private investigator Kate Bishop, America Chavez a.k.a. Miss America, the Jane Foster Thor, Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales and possibly Maria Hill or Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D., Gamerant reported.
Aside from the possible Marvel characters, there are also rumors that the "Avengers Project" could tie-in with the new "Spider-Man" game for the PlayStation 4.
Insomniac Games tweeted a reply from a gaming fans asking if the "Avengers Project" is connected to the "Spider-Man" PS4 game, as they only said that they are excited in developing the game and gave Square Enix a compliment on their new Marvel project.
Technically they did not answered the question, but it is unlikely the both Marvel games will have a connection as Insomniac Games handles "Spider-Man", while Square Enix handles "Avengers Project".
Both Marvel and gaming fans will have tp wait for more details about "Avengers Project" within this year.
