New details for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will have game features added from "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8" and Marvel characters and worlds in the sequel.
Game director Tetsuya Nomura teased possible new features that can be added from "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" to "Kingdom Hearts 3". He told Famitsu (via GamingBolt) that gamers may or may not see these features in "Kingdom Hearts 3", since the latest game was a short episode, but given time they plan to add more content in to the game.
In the case of "Kingdom Hearts 3". Nomura and Square Enix already had plenty of other factors implemented for that sort of replay value within the sequel, so it all depends on the state of development as time goes on.
Nomura teased before that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will likely have a character customization similar to Aqua in "Kingdom Heart HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue". However, Nomura explained that he is still unsure if the character customization feature will be incorporated in the game in time, stating that they have a lot of priorities ahead of them soon.
They also conducted trial and errors about the "Situation Command" and how to display them so it will not look like a simple QTE, etc. "Situation Commands" are an evolution of "Kingdom Hearts 2's" Reaction Commands and would play a integral part in "Kingdom Hearts 3".
In other news, its seems that the possibility of seeing Marvel worlds and characters in "Kingdom Hearts 3" could be a possibility as Square Enix recently had a partnership with Marvel in order to make several video game titles based on the Marvel heroes.
Both Marvel and Square Enix announced that they are making an Avenger themed game called "Avengers Project" and if they have their way they could atleast add hereos from the Marvel universe to "Kingdom Hearts 3" since Disney owns the rights of Marvel, IDigital Times reported.
Co-game director Tai Yasue first teased the possibility of Marvel and Star Wars characters and worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3", but it will take awhile for Square Enix to acquire the rights from Disney. Multiple sources speculated that the cancellation of "Disney Infinity" could be the window for Square Enix to gain the licensed rights of Marvel and Star Wars and be included in "Kingdom Hearts 3" development.
Three Disney worlds are already been added in "Kingdom Hearts 3" namely from "Tangled", "Hercules" and "Big Hero 6", while other Disney movies such as "Frozen", "Wreck-it Ralph", "The Jungle Book", "Toy Story" and many more.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
