"Elder Scrolls Online" fans are thrilled as a new expansion is going to be released for the game soon. The expansion is set in the iconic "Elder Scrolls III" location Morrowind.
Earlier this month, dataminers were able to discover Vvardenfell's map, which led to speculation that the new expansion is set in Morrowind. Thankfully, the rumors turned out to be true.
In a livestream in Twitch, Bethesda and Zenimax Studios revealed that the newest expansion for the "Elder Scrolls Online" allows players to take on quests in Morrowind. Before, players are only allowed to travel in certain parts of the continent, but with the game set centuries before "The Elder Scrolls III," players will now see Vvardenfell during its heyday.
According to Kotaku, players can purchase the expansion as well as the main game for $60, while those who already possess the "Tamriel Unleashed" version of "Elder Scrolls Online" only need to pay $40. The expansion will be launched at June 6.
Once launched, players can now enjoy the level-appropriate content. New players will be able to choose fresh characters on Vvardenfell even without any prior accomplishments in the "Elder Scrolls Online" game, according to Game Spot.
Also, "Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind" will introduce a new class, the Warden. It is the first class ever since the game's original launch. It is armed with melee weapons and augmented by nature-based magic, as well as a new combat ally, the war bear.
Players who prefer combatting others can enjoy the 4 vs 4 vs 4 battlegrounds mode. This will let teams of players fight one another in arena-style environments.
"The Elder Scrolls Online" used downloadable contents to add new areas and storylines to the game. Back in 2015, the Orc City of Ornisium was added, and the year after that the Thieves' Guild and the Dark Brotherhood became its newest addition.
"The Elder Scrolls Online" is now available for the PC platform. Here is the announcement video for the "Morrowind" expansion:
