"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 recently saw the death of Michael Malarkey's character, Enzo. In the scene, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) ripped out Enzo's heart until he passed away. Bonnie (Kat Graham) was very unhappy with her so-called best friend's deed.
With Enzo's shocking death, fans of "The Vampire Diaries" could not help but wonder if he will return to the finale. After all, characters dead or alive from previous seasons will be returning to the final episode of the hit The CW series.
In an interview with TV Line, Malarkey confirmed that he will be very much a part of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. The actor said that he has already filmed some of his scenes from episode 16. Malarkey is also happy that even though Enzo has died, the character can still find justice by wrapping up his entire story in the March episode.
Meanwhile, Malarkey's interview with the publication took place a few days before a new episode of "The Vampire Diaries" aired on The CW. At that time, the actor said that he is pleased with how executive producer Julie Plec chose to write Enzo's story.
He also weighed in on how Plec managed to write a remarkable story about the old and current characters and how she is able to pool them together for a memorable ending.
Other characters who previously passed away on the show, but are confirmed to return include Nina Dobrev's Elena Gilbert, David Anders' John and Kayla Ewell's Vicki.
In other news, fans of the "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 are not very pleased with Enzo's death especially since it meant Bonnie will once again be unhappy. Even though the character's demise was quite expected, fans of Bonenzo still wanted the two characters to end up together.
Other fans noted that it should have been Damon or Stefan (Paul Wesley) to have been killed off. However, the two characters are too risky to get rid of. After all, Elena will return to Mystic Falls, and it would be devastating if Stefan or Damon will not be there.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 airs Fridays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
