"Dragon Ball" stans are given a second wind with "Dragon Ball Super" as the supercharged anime has entered a new arc just recently. Its Manga version, on the other hand, offers the same intensity to literary lovers as its illustrator - Toyotaro is living the dream since he too is a fan of the lore.
The illustrator and Akira Toriyama's chosen successor has been drawing the likes of Son Goku and other DBZ characters back when he was a kid. In an interview with Anime News Network during the 2016 New York Comic-Con, he stated that there is a sense responsibility not to let the fans down and added that he always put that in mind since he started working for Toriyama.
When asked what is the biggest tweak that he did in the Manga series, Toyotaro replied that he does not veer away from the storylines that Toriyama handed to him. However, he mentioned that he is free to make some touch ups in between those plotlines.
He also pointed out back then that he does not have any involvement with the anime and added that the show is quite advanced in terms of events. Toyotaro stated though that the Manga version will be ahead at some point and the franchise's anime team will be obtaining information from him.
In line with this, the Universal Survival Arc of "Dragon Ball Super" is heading towards it 79th and 80th episodes as Universe 9 seems to a tough nut to crack. Warriors of the said universe - collectively known as Trio the Dangers, are pitted against the Universe 7 of Son Goku. Moreover, Gohan's misfortune in episode 80 has already been hinted as his canine-looking opponent spewed poison at him making him lose his eyesight, Otakukart reported.
Memes about the K-9-inspired warriors have been going rounds as of late in which it points out that their color schemes are similar to Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Moreover, their names - Lavenda, Basil, and Bergamo were obviously taken from plants.
Meanwhile, fans might finally see the mysterious Saiyan girl in action on episode 81 that is rumored to be dubbed "The Might of Cabba's Sister! The Saiyan Girl of Rage!" It is quite plausible that the girl in the previous teasers could be Cabba's sister as their facial features have striking similarities. However, such rumors should be taken with pinches of salt as it is quite bland as of the moment.
