The Shonda Rhimes medical drama's season 11, episode 17 is entitled "With or Without," ingnited speculations regarding a possible breakup between the show's two main characters. Could it be Derek Shepherd played by Patrick Dempsey and Meredith Grey by Ellen Pompeo, who are currently having a rocky relationship after Shepherd was transferred to Washington?
In episode 15, Meredith tried to ring Derek to share her recent success in her career, but a woman answered the phone. Meredith thinks about that particular call all throughout episode 16, but is still shaky on whether to conclude that her husband is cheating on her or not. The next episode's synopsis, Meredith is unsure of how to take the recent relationship block.
The official synopsis for episode 17's "With or Without You" reads:
"Meredith, rattled by the latest events, tries to figure out what to do about Derek. Meanwhile, Owen (Kevin McKidd) is shocked when his mother is admitted to the hospital," the Hollywood Hills reported.
However, Derek and Meredith aren't the only couple who are running into blocks these days. Based on the just concluded episode, "Don't Dream It's Over," Callie portrayed by Sarah Ramirez and Arizona by Jessica Capshaw had a rift as Arizona sees Callie kissing another woman. Callie and the Internet girl were having a good time, while Arizona was looking at them silently through the window.
"Grey's Anatomy" S11E17, an episode drafted by Elisabeth R. Finch under the direction of Chandra Wilson, is slated to air on ABC, March 26.
