The small guys reigned the NBA this week as both NBA All-star guards Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul were named as NBA Players Of The Week.
Miami Heats' shooting guard Wade led the charge and helped the team's 3-1 record. His overall contributions was an average of 24.5 points, 4.0 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals.
His outstanding performance last March 16 against the Cavaliers and former teammate Lebron James is one of the factors for earning the award.
According to ESPN, Wade contributed 32 points that helped the Heat in outscoring the Cavaliers by 17 points.
On the other hand, Los Angeles Clipper's point guard Chris Paul contributed an average of 26.0 points, 11.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds that helped his team into a 4-0 record.
The point guard battle against John Wall on March 20 match with Washington Wizards was one of Paul's highlights that earned him his award.
Paul's 30 points and 15 assists was one of the factors on their 113-99 win against the Wizards according to Sports Illustrated.
Both are notable for their leadership roles on their respectable teams.
Fresh from Lebron's "coming home" decision to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wade became the Heat's go to guy. Together with Chris Bosh, they have proved that Heat Nation is still on fire even without Lebron.
Paul on the other hand has always been the Clipper's main guy after being traded from the Hornets.
Being teamed up with Dunking superstar Blake Griffin, both delivered spectacular alley-ops highlights.
Both player's teams are positive to have playoffs seeds and both are looking forward for a finals appearance.
