After the successful first China concert of U.S. rapper Pitbull in 2013, he is set to once again perform before his Chinese fans as part of his 2015 world tour.
The hip-hop artist will hold live shows in Beijing as well as in Shanghai and Guangzhou. The recording sensation is known for hits like "Don't Stop the Party" and "I Know You Want Me."
Pitbull is also expected to entertain the crowd with his performance of "We Are One"--a first in China. "We Are One" is the official 2014 FIFA World Cup Song. He first performed it with Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Lettie in Brazil during the games' opening ceremony.
Hailing from a Cuban descent, the 34-year-old rap icon grew up in Miami where the electronic music scene is very much alive. His music takes its roots from a wide range of Cuban, Caribbean and Colombian sounds. His influences also include the salsa and merengue.
Pitbull launched his career back in 2002 when he got to perform with U.S. rap idol Lil Jon. In 2003, his song "Oye" was featured in the box-office hit "2 Fast 2 Furious."
In 2004, he released his debut album "M.I.A.M.I." and since then, the rap sensation has released a number of chart-topping hits.
His first single, "Give Me Everything," which features U.S. R&B singers Nayer and Ne-Yo and Dutch DJ Afrojack, climbed to the top spot of Billboard Hot 100.
The U.S. rapper has also recorded collaborations with some of today's most bankable music icons. These include "Get It Started" with Colombian pop star Shakira and "Feel This Way" with pop diva Christina Aguilera.
Pitbull's most recent collaborations include the Oct. 2013-released EP, "Meltdown," featuring U.S. singer KeSha and "Mr. Put It Down" with Ricky Martin. "Mr. Put It Down" will be included in Martin's upcoming album.
