"Pitch Perfect 2" director Elizabeth Banks presented the "Pitch Perfect" sequel during the CinemaCon 2015 on Monday evening.
The actress-turned-director spoke before the audience at The Colosseum located at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The movie's special screening opened the said convention lead by the National Association of Theatre Owners, Daily Mail reported.
Banks attended the event wearing a green strapless jumpsuit and accessorized her look with a silver necklace. To complete the classy look she was going for during the said event, she also sported a smoky eye effect makeup and had her blonde locks neatly tied in an updo.
The director told the audience at the CinemaCon that if the fans of the flick liked the first one, they would like the second film. She added that the audience should just sing along and tell everyone how great the film is.
The sequel of the film will be about the a cappella girl group called the Barden Bellas, who will be competing at an international competition after their reputation was tainted when they presented a distasteful performance in front of the United States president.
Despite the unfortunate event, the group still has to represent the U.S. for the a cappella world championships in which no American team has ever won. The film will possibly be turned into a trilogy but there have been no reports yet as to what the next installment would be about.
One of the reviewers who attended the special screening shared with MTV News that there will be major hook-ups amongst the cast such as Anna Kendrick and her love interest from the first film. Also, cameos from different top Hollywood celebrities are very frequent throughout the film.
"Pitch Perfect 2" will be out in theatres on May 15.
