After introducing his cast ensemble for the anti-hero film "Suicide Squad," film maker David Ayer revealed a theme central to the upcoming blockbuster - family.

The impressive list of blockbuster's characters have been revealed one after another, exciting fans on how these characters affect the storyline and the film as a whole. However, an element that was not emphasized before was the director's take on the film.
Ayer explained how the characters will connect to the audience's lives in the film. The director said that "Suicide Squad" is all about "real drama, real performance, and real people." For Ayer, his film is more than just a "squad," but a brotherhood, a family.
The director added that "Suicide Squad" is made up of multi-faceted characters, having a life and a soul, and created to blend with "real chemistry." As a family, "Suicide Squad" can be seen showcasing a high level of solidarity, making them successful in their endeavors.
Meanwhile, Ayer's upcoming "Suicide Squad" may have an additional character, Hawkman, as per Cinema Blend.
The production of the villain-centric film is currently in Toronto for filming. It was also revealed that a part of the movie will have Midway City as its locale. A recent footage featured a police car, with the label "Midway City Police" on the side.
Midway City is best known as the home of several characters in the DC Comics like Hawkman. With the alter ego Carter Hall, Hawkman first appeared in "Flash Comics # 1" in January 1940. during the Golden Age, The character was known as archaeologist Hall, the reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian Prince Khufu.
Hawkman possesses super strength and vision and is able to fly with his artificial feather wings. He can also regulate temperature and reincarnate, in addition to his limited physical regeneration.
The film stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Cara Delvigne, and Viola Davis.
Other stars include Alex Meraz, Common, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, Adam Beach, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara, and Adawale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
"Suicide Squad" is set to premiere in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
