Cissy Houston, mother of late legendary singer Whitney Houston, has accused Bobby Brown for her daughter's tragic death. The 81-year-old grandmother of Houston's only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was speaking about his daughter's untimely death in an interview when she made the revelation that the celebrity singer tried her best to maintain balance in the show business but she just had "the wrong partner."
"My baby tried. She did. She just had the wrong partner, you know?" Cissy told ET's Kevin Frazier when she was asked to share her thoughts about Houston tragic death.
Whitney was married to Bobby for 14 years, during which the latter reportedly had numerous run-ins with the law, including jail time. The late singer had also famously admitted that she used marijuana and cocaine along with her husband and the habit became more troublesome after the success of "The Bodyguard."
Houston got separated from Brown in 2006 with her child's full custody and Brown with no spousal support. A few years later, in 2012, the singer was found dead in the bathtub of Beverly Hills's Hilton hotel, reportedly, due to cocaine overuse along with additional harmful drugs.
Ironically, Whitney's daughter, Bobbi, was found in similar condition, drowned in the bathtub of her home on Jan 31. The celebrity child had to be induced in coma to restore back to normality. Recent updates indicated that the 22-year-old is now out of coma but is still unresponsive.
Cissy also shed light on the present medical condition of Bobbi, saying that it has not progressed at all. The celebrity child needs a feeding tube for daily nutrition, breathing support and constant intensive care.
Meanwhile, Inquistr reported that Pat Houston, Whitney'sister-in-law, is planning to bring her niece back home so that she can live in a more familiar surroundings. Since the court has granted her co-guardianship along with Bobby, it seems that she needs to convince the 47-year-old singer to let his daughter go home.
