"Pitch Perfect 2" introduced two new characters in the second installment and one of them, Florencia "Flo" Fuentes (Chrissie Fit) definitely made a mark.
The 31-year-old actress played the role of a Latina who has been brainwashed by all the stereotypes surrounding her culture. However, what makes her character interesting is the fact that she it seemed like she didn't really mind.
In a recent interview with The Huffington Post, Fit talked about Flo and what her contribution was to the Barden Bellas.
According to her, Flo played the lowest note or the bass in the group, which is kind of funny because she is also the shortest member of the Barden Bellas.
When asked about the Latina stereotypes present in "Pitch Perfect 2," Fit dished that it felt even funnier because it was like she was the one who poked fun on certain white girl problems.
"Basically, everything I say is kind of in a way making fun of their white girl problems, and so I obviously appreciated that a lot. I think it was really funny, and just to be able to be sarcastic and witty and smart about the humor - I really kind of loved that too," she said.
Meanwhile, in a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, Fit said that she is hopeful that the Latina stereotypes present in "Pitch Perfect 2" could start a conversation in various parts of the world.
Fit also revealed that if there were to be a third installment to the franchise, she could potentially reprise her role as Flo if audiences embrace her character well.
"Pitch Perfect 2" is still showing in theaters in the United States and other parts of the world.
