The late King of Pop Michael Jackson's popular house Neverland Ranch is up for sale. Renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch, the California property located at about 40 miles from Santa Barbara was once housed the iconic artist and is available for $100 million.
The 27000 ranch, once famous for its in-house amusement parks, still has some unique features such as a train station, six-bedroom house, 50-seat movie theatre and a pair of lakes. The property has an open Jacuzzi, a swimming pool with a cabana, a barbecue area, basketball court, tennis court and a stage that includes trap doors for magic shows.
Also, the estate has a massive Normandy-style main house, where the "Thriller" singer resided, with six bedrooms and 21 other smaller residential structures, including a building that used to house the so-called "Neverland Valley Fire Department" and two guest houses.
According to Wall Street Journal, Jackson bought the ranch for $19.5 million in 1987 and lived there almost all his life. The pop star was said to be proud of his property and often used to open its gates for little kids.
The pop star stayed at the listed property till 2004 when the police raided the house as part of an investigation into his alleged sexual misconduct with minors. Following the episode, the pop star left his beloved Neverland Ranch to never return again, Us Weekly reported.
The property was sold off to the investment firm Colony Capital in 2008 when the singer was facing foreclosure on the property. The property, listed at Hilton & Hyland, is not subjected to public viewing. The listing agents will be admittedly doing extensive research for pre-qualification of potential buyers before opening it for showings.
