Pop superstar Ariana Grande refuses to be called anyone's ex as she would not want to be regarded as a man's "possession," be it past, present, or future. The 2013 American Music Awards' New Artist of the Year recently called it quits with 27-year-old American rapper Big Sean and she is far from moping.
Grande, who will turn 22 on June 26, tweeted last weekend that she has so much more to talk about, like the grand time she is having with "The Honeymoon Tour" and the people she has met and worked with, than about her recent heartbreak.
Grande's powerful words on female empowerment struck a chord with many women, including her fans. The pop singing sensation took the opportunity to thank her fans for accepting and supporting her works as an artist.
Grande recently signed a deal with Universal Music Publishing Group. She is currently number 25 in Billboard's top 100 Artists. Her album, "My Everything" remains in the Billboard 200 chart.
Known for her amazing vocal quality, Grande has catchy tunes include "Bang Bang," collaboration with Nicky Minaj and Jessie J, which garnered a 2015 iHeartRadio Music Award.
Being single for the past few months has been an eye-opener for the chart-soaring Grande. She said she realized she need not have a man at her side to feel happy and to have fun.
Notwithstanding relationships that have gone sour, Grande just keeps moving on and constantly reassures fans through social media that she is fine and enjoying her life more. Fresh from the successful first leg of her United States tour, Grande is bracing for the summer run of "The Honeymoon Tour."
