The new Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition of Samsung became popular and received a lot of bidders in an online auction in China. China’s second largest e-commerce retailer JD.com released the pricing for the Iron Man smartphone edition of Galaxy S6 Edge and currently, it has 92,429 bids.
The price for the smartphone is up to $91,638. Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition actual price is only $1,076, according to Digital Trends.
The Iron Man edition smartphone offers a unique red color both on back and front. South Korean electronics giant foresees the popularity of the limited edition handset given the popularity of color red in the country and they are planning to offer 16 million units in China alone.
Originally, the handset is only available in South Korea with 1,000 units. However, the selling of Iron Man edition handset in China suggests that it may be sold in other markets around the globe.
The limited edition of the handset under the auction had the serial number 66. In Chinese custom, six is a symbol of good luck, and number 66 suggests that everything will bring twice good luck, Android Authority reported. This reason alone gives the smartphone a high number of bidders and the price is undoubtedly competitive.
The Iron Man edition Galaxy S6 Edge contains the same specifications of the standard S6 Edge, sporting a curved edge screen on either side of the display. The limited edition handset has the same functionality and offers bigger battery, but its color scheme and theme is unique.
The packaging offers a clever experience and its wireless charger looks like Iron Man’s Arc reactor.
